You can use Total Recorder  for recording  streaming audio, Mic input, Line-in input as well as CDs and DVDs. The resulting files are saved on your computer's hard-drive. The system also allows users to schedule any number of future recordings!

This edition provides many powerful functions for the recording, converting, editing, and processing of sound. With the Video Add-on, you can record from any combination of video and audio sources.

· Record sound being played by other computer programs (e.g. RealPlayer, Windows Media Player, Quick Time, WinAmp) including live Internet broadcasts. This feature is unique to Total Recorder and is not available in the vast majority of other sound recording programs;
· Convert different sound formats to WAVE format (plain or compressed) or MP3 format, providing you have a player capable of playing a particular format;
· Record Internet Telephony conversations - even full duplex;
· Record from any sound card input line. For example, you can record from CD or you can hook up a cassette player and record from it;

The batch processing feature has been extended as follows:
